This open mic is great. For one thing, it's run by Joey G, who is one of the greatest young comedians on Long Island. I know that aint saying much, but the kid knows how to get laughs. Cheap laughs, sure, but hey now let's get back to the topic of the open mic. There are a lot of young bitches who go to this mic, as well as some sexy young bitches who work at the place. The butch tattoo boys keep a safe distance from the comedy, as they are separated by a wall. So don't worry, you won't have to interact with any of them if you don't want to. If you have no talent, DONT WORRY!!! You will fit right in. Aside from Joey G, Nate Watts, there's not an ounce of talent in the place. Also, this open mic is a safe-haven for Left-Leaning people, who are sick of going to open mics and seeing nothing but Opie and Anthony impressions - I'm talking about you, Collazo.
I do 4-5 Long Island open mics a week, and this is without a doubt my favorite. A fun crowd (comics and patrons)very supportive- like an extended family. Joey G. is a great host- he could say anything, and it comes out hilarious! The beverages and desserts are great and Amanda is awesome!I will be coming to perform here as long as this mic is around.I hope more people find out about Wylde Chylde.
Best mic on Long Island period. It actually feels like the best city mic. Wylde Chylde, like any good city mic, has a fun atmosphere with many great up-and-comers. Joey G. is an awesome host. If you want to rub elbows with LI's real up-and-comers, this is the place.
The crowd is fair. If a joke is hilarious it gets laughs. If it doesn't, you'll hear the buzz of a tattoo needle in the next room.
gotta be my favorite open mic on LI. I love going to the city, but even the city doesn't have that great of an mic at times. There's a lot of good young talent here and its a nice place to bring friends and work on old and new jokes too. I am def going to try to get back here. And they made some amazing cookies, smelled amazing.
Good mic, good people. Payed attention to eachother and nobody was rude. A few decent looking girls in the place getting tattooed. I'll definately be back.
I have nothing but good things to say about this mic. It is now run by Dennis Rooney and Tim Dillon, two young, sincere and wickedly funny comics. They do a great job hosting, the stage time is totally free and the mic has a fun, loose and supportive vibe. On top of that, they do a "Joke of the Night" contest each week with good prizes that fans of comedy will appreciate. The mic is well-attended each week and, in addition to the comics, there's often "civilian" audience there to perform for. I've had a lot of fun there.
To have a good, free weekly open mic like this is an awesome resource for Long Island comics, both new and seasoned. I don't even drive, but I go out of my way to arrange rides there- even though I could easily hit up a Manhattan mic right after work. If you want to keep growing and improving as a comic and you can get to this mic, there's no reason why you shouldn't hit it up every Wednesday.

Great spot to practice. Adam who now host it is a fun guy who is enthusiastic towards new comics and the show itslef. The comics tend to listen at this mic becasue the room is lit and you can see who is watching and who is reading their bit so most listen to not be rude. I dont know how they do a comedy show next to a tatto parlor what if we make the dude chuckle? Anyway this is a great starter mic but it ends at that, you will never be paid to come back.
