  1. If I knew that at 10 PM, Tuesday night, there was going to be only two people standing there not laughing at anything you were about to say, I would have never wasted my time even thinking of going there. If you want to try talking over a microphone to yourself for the first time, this is the place to go, but if you're really trying to do stand-up and get at least one laugh DO NOT go here.

  3. This was the first place I did an open mic. There were my buddys, my girlfriend, a couple on a date with styrofoam containers on the table. The host gave me 10 minutes. After i did my stuff. I walked out and let the overwhelming awkward set in. Next time i came, the host WARNED the other people about me. He told them it was about to get "R" rated, which i wasn't that night. Don't go.

  4. Is not comic friendly. Show starts at 7:30pm and Sam doesn't put comics up till 9:30pm, then he continues to put more music up in between comic sets. You will be there all night.

  5. Supportive room for musicians with good sound and attentive crowd. Upright piano is available. Comics get added to the mix after 9:00pm and frequently work to a dwindling crowd. Sign up online one week early to get the best spots.

  6. "Supportive room for musicians"

    Hahaha.
Alright. Well... that says it all.
I was just telling someone the other day that when open mic comics bomb no one laughs, and they get only a smattering of applause at the end of it (if that). On the other hand, when I listen to literally the shittiest music I've ever heard in my life at these things people act like it's amazing.
At this level, it's so much easier for musicians.... Excuse me. "Musicians."
