Dorothy runs a great Open Mic at Charlie O's. Not only are the comics funny, but because of the great location, she gets tourists off of 8th Ave. to come in for the show. This creates a great atmosphere to perform your material for an actual audience!
I agree. She knows how to bring an audience in and she's hot. That is one cougar I wouldn't mind bitting me! Last night's mic was so much fun. Those two girls from Vermont got flamed. If Dorothy reads this, she can pretty much guess who I am.
I went one time. There were about 8-10 comics and 1 audience member. The least expensive drink item is coffee, for about $4.50 including tip. Overall I would say it was a decent mic.
Good times were had by all. About 20 people in the room, most of which also performed. Almost everyone stayed until the end. The atmosphere was open and supportive. I would come here again.
