  1. this is a produced mic! I dont understand why they call it an open mic. the place is usually packed with audience and a line up of 3 to 4 comics doing 15 minute sets. steve's got a gold mine. It was great performing alongside writers from comedy central. beautiful women, very diverse crowed. you better bring the funny! or you may get the light.

  3. I do this pretty much every week. I use it as my tune up before shows on the weekend. Jim is cool, the place is relaxed. Enjoy a drink and do your thang.

  4. My name is Arsenio Forrest and I just wanted to say that I was the last comic to perform at Jim's open mic. That was last night, July 6, 2011. I wish him the best in the future.

  10. Cool space. Very nice host and staff. It's a signup but being able to email ahead as well is always helpful when planning where to perform. Will definitely be heading back.

  11. great place to gage material! Work your new material out to. intimate, up close and personal. this will definitely help you with stare down potential. Brian runs a tight mic. if your rocking you'll get a little extra time, if not you get the light. test this one out. far superior than the long winded twirp on tuesday night who has better success at impersonating John Lennon!

  13. This is one of the best mics in the city. The host is great, because he actually cares about the show and the performers. There is "real" audience here regularly, you get good stage time, and the musicians are really impressive. I look forward to this mic every week.

  14. David runs a great mic. The shows are always packed and fun to perform at. Does anyone know what the fuck Atelston is talking about?

  15. A very supportive room that has an audience on occasion. Friendly host. This mic will be solid until it's discovered by that shitty little alt-crowd.
