  1. I Like this one. The MC, Alan puts a lot into this and keeps a dialog with the comics. He video tapes and photos which is awesome. You are mostly playing to other comics as the room is seperate from the bar which when I was there was pretty empty except a couple of pool players but hey, it is Monday.
A few people may stroll in to listen. The other comics are fun and supportive. Good talent. This is a good place to work on your art and get real feedback.

  2. eh, not a big fan. a lot of regulars and they all seemed to be friends of each other so it was a little hard to make them laugh. totally empty, nice host, okay talent, but who knows maybe it'll get better, but i don't think i will be going back

  3. I did my first comedy open mic here Feb. 2009. Everyone was SUPER supportive, especially Alan. I couldn't have picked a better first mic to break me in.

  4. Did my first open mic last night! I sucked! The other comics were supportive and cool. You gotta have thick skin for this kinda stuff. Lesson learned. Alan was a real great guy and does a great job of making you feel comfortable. I almost got in the car and left but stayed because of him. I'm glad I did cause now my first time is over with. I will be coming back to this one! Thanks again Alan and everyone else who told me I didn't suck too bad.

  5. Longest running mic on LI...Alan does a great job hosting...if you have never done an open mic and want to give it a try...Fins is the place. Sometimes there's an audience...but there's always the pool guys!

  6. YouTube vids of this place are lackluster. Is it worth it?

    1. Depends what you are looking for.
The you tube vids are only posted by the comics request to see how they look on stage.

  7. Great mic. Host is awesome. Free videotaping. Great environment for a comic to start out in and to continue practicing their act. By far the best I've seen in Suffolk/Nassau county
