  1. Going on for a year and a half as of this posting, the room is for standup only, and parking is on the street. Signup is first come first choice, and they are very good about the honor system. There are 20 slots, but I suspect they can go past that number if need be. There are no language restrictions. The mic is run by two persons, Noah and Ally. Talent gets four minutes, the light at three, but if you buy a drink and let them know, you get an additional minute.
There is no stage. A cordless mic and stand are set up on a rug. The backdrop is a neon sign of the Rabbit Hole logo on a black wall. To get to the bathroom, you have to cross in front of talent performing, so, out of respect, don’t use the facilities until the current talent on stage is done.
The business is a full bar, but they also offer limited comfort food like chicken tenders and hot dogs. Five muted TVs were on, and they stayed on during the mic. I could see people watching TV here and there and not looking at the talent performing. The whole place seats about 35 who can see the stage well.
The signup sheet came out at 7:29pm. I got the fourteenth spot, and I arrived just after 7pm. I counted 22 people in the room when we began promptly at 8pm. Noah welcomed everyone and did a few minutes of stage time, then brought up the first talent. Not quite halfway through the evening, Ally took over hosting. By the time it was my turn, the time was 9:05pm. Attendance was not quite what we started with, but I still played to a healthy-sized audience. I stayed for another Moscow Mule, which ran over $12 each. That lasted me about five or six more talent, then I left when Noah came back to finish the evening hosting and announced we had a couple of comedians left. If I didn’t have to walk back to my hotel, I would have stayed to support.
Guys, this is a good room to do. The bright neon sign on the wall behind the talent can backlight the performer, but you can still see them well enough. Even wearing a hat, we could see the eyes of the talent when performing, which matters. Five minutes of stage time is good, and both hosts were pleasant company and funny on stage. Often, they made a comment on the material after a comedian finished their set. And a bonus: there is another mic quite close by that you can go to after this one.
