This is one of the most informal open mics I've ever been to. I had called the venue ahead of time and was told the man who runs it shows at 4pm and plays his music till 6pm. Then the open mic. I show up close to 5pm, introduce myself, signup and leave to go have dinner then come back close to the time I went up. The venue is outdoors, and I didn't think there would be much of a turnout. Thankfully, I was wrong. There were close to 30 people gathered, in spite of the limited seats. Parking is on the streets. You get 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the number of signups. Since the venue takes place outside, respect the fact that you're in public, so keep the material family-friendly. People walking by don't necessarily want to hear foul words. Overall, a great venue. Very supportive. Buy a coffee or something when there to support.
