There's a lot of real audience. It's a popular bar on 14th street in the East Village at 9 o'clock. More of a show than a mic. Hosts were very nice & enthusiastic. Will be back.
I love this mic- it's free, it's easy to get to, the hosts are lovely and supportive. It's a busy bar, so there is noise, but usually people are respectful and listen, and then you have a sweet live audience. lot's of love here:)
For a comic this mic sucks. You put your bucket name in the first 20 and 25 comics later some dudes walk in and go right on stage without you even grazing the mic. Rather do a laundry mat.
I'm trying to determine if this mic is rigged or not. They say "bucket lottery" yet every single person who went up there knew each other. I'm not trying to start anything but myself and a few other people, it was our first time there and none of us got picked to go up.

ReplyDeleteA popularity contest disguised as a bucket lottery. That being said, there usually is audience and a great looking bartender.

ReplyDeleteThis mic is rigged, no bones about it. Just watch the host the whole night and you can see him pick and choose the lottery.
