Heard there was a big fight t the back tonight with Fitzgerald holder 1st and another comic so to say he got banned if a lie because I saw him in the back and he was on stage. False rumors.
The Westside Comedy Theatre's unorthodox location is ironically a Tuesday nights comedic mecca, and for many reasons, a post-show residual audience that precedes the open mic, an uncanny aura that glitters the fruits of ambience, a host imprudence that flourishes the air and permeates the listeners, and a polarized collection of peculiar comics...! The performance is lottery driven rather chronological, therefore getting there early or late is somewhat irrelevant, ironically the list capacity is around 25, so it's contingent you get there early.
Venturing to the Westside is an imperative notion indeed, and to miss this eureka of a medium experience is a regret that shall wither into the cold desert air.
if you have 4 hours to waste then do it; you often get in line by 8 and get called to the stage by midnight, for a tight 3 minute set in front a handful of comics. IF YOU ARE LUCKY or friends with the host, you can get called in the first hour and have one of the best crowds at any open mic ever (better to be friends with the host tho so you don't wait for hours, and he can pretend to pull and call your name from the bucket).
Another punk as unfunny comic bitching at the open mic. I'm friends with nick and got up late on many occasions. And I know complete newcomers get up early. It's douchebags like you that try to destroy to characters of good people. Hiding behind anonymous? All that BS Anonymously.?? What a BITCHHH
Black dude gets there at 7 pm and stands in the front of the line, EVERY TUESDAY. He uses a stamp for his name and wears a bowtiie with those Halloween wuiffles shirts from the 60s. I spoke to him a few times and it's always a weird awkward experience.
Atelston got banned for nudity
