  1. Show info:

    Walk-ins welcome!...HOWEVER!

The first 15 comics that email faceplantcomedy@gmail.com get a minute extra.

    FACE-PLANT, hosted by Andy Rocco!

3 times a month the show is an Open Mic...However, the 4th/last Sunday is a showcase show.
The showcase will have people from the mic and headliners. And yes, there should be a real audience.

  3. I really hope this one catches on. Andy is very inviting and approachable and runs an awesome room, honestly the most fun I've had at an open mic in a long time. Great atmosphere, highly recommended. Check it out, guys!

  5. Andy is incredibly nice, tries really hard to make the mic good, and he's funny too.

One of the better mics I've been to.

  6. Great mic. 4 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon? Great time for a mic. Makes you feel like you are actually doing something with your life. Thanks Andy! Great room.

  7. James is in charge now, and IMHO it's gotten even better! Faceplant is now my favorite open mike (besides my own). James feeds a great energy into the room, riffs well, treats people fairly, and draws a diverse crowd of comics.

Last Sunday, almost fifty percent of the comics were female! It's fun to attend a mike that draws comedians I've never met or rarely see, from many different cliques and circles, all of whom seem to do very well at Faceplant.

  9. Weird mic. It's just a bar in a gentrified Queens neighborhood. You only get 3 minutes and it's a hike to get there. But it's free which keeps the hipsters coming.

  10. Sorry you had a bad experience Anonymous. We were forced downstairs due to construction in the theatre. Almost always upstairs!

    Come by up and up!

    High Five!
