Ok so I didn't get to the actual mic, but here's what I learned in the process: 1. It's not a "show up and go up" mic. You have to register on their website. (http://thecomedyspot.net/open-mic/) 2. There are two shows, one at 7 and one at 9 with 10 slots for each show. 3. The website says there is a $7 cover and a 2 drink minimum but did not specify if this applies to performers. I wouldn't be surprised if it did as they are charging people to come see an open mic like it's a real comedy show.
Would love to hear someone's thoughts who has actually done this mic. I am just visiting town so this was my only opportunity and by the time I figured it out it was too late, all slots were taken.
