I have been to this mic. If you get up, it's good; there is real audience. You definitely have to get there early, or you'll be low on the list & there's a good chance you won't get up. It's a mix of spoken word, and music, with maybe 10% absurdist one-person sketch-like comedy.
This is a really cool mic. Yes it can be disorganized, but if you get there early and sign up you'll be able to go up for a pretty full room of non-comics! No soul crushing!
Also, don't let the "Cutting Edge Only" policy deter you, just go up and do your thing. The main thing Viviana wants is for people to be creative and do whatever they do.
Shit is terrible...don't go if your serious about your comedy. IF you stick around for the end, you might get the music played on you cuz she doesn't do well with keeping track of time...EVEN IF YOUR KILLING! NOT A SERIOUS MIC.
