Even though it's a new venue it's a great place to work on a 15 minute set. Not too many places out there offer this. Kristen (the host) is great to work with and Tom the owner is top notch
Comedians will not find a place that gives you so much time anywhere (and let me stress that, ANYWHERE) in the Chicagoland area. The 15-20 minutes you're offered is worth any of the few shortcomings this venue offers.
I should mention that whenever I have given the owner a suggestion about making the show better, he has taken it to heart and implemented usually.

ReplyDeleteLike Ed said. Plus, unlike in the city, there's an honest-to-God audience! Not just more comix waiting their turn.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be nice if they'd turn off the TVs by the stage platform, though. I hate being upstaged by Keanu or Patrick.
I agre. I say all the Tvs need to be off during the show.

A great open mic.
Call first! I think this open mic is R.I.P.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this mic is dead dead dead.
