  3. Great room! Scott and Paula are well organized and very supportive. Located in the Zapata Vive Mexican restaurant (delicious, large portions of food). A lot of regular comics from the area as well as from OC and the IE.

  4. Another one of my favorite and highly supporting open mics! Scott & Paula are great. The food is delicious. The room looks like a hall where a cub scout meeting is held, spacious and can hold a lot of people. Look up The Joke Gym on facebook; they often post for guaranteed spots if you reply quickly.

  5. This is a very supportive venue for working out new material and polishing performance techniques. All levels of experience from novice to seasoned pro are treated with equal respect. The audience is mostly comprised of comics and their friends, and it can be a full room. The restaurant features a wide selection and ample portions at decent prices.

  7. The Joke Gym is a great place to work out those jokes, stretch, and laugh. Great talent, and service at the Zapata Vive Restaurant where it's held. https://www.facebook.com/thejokegym

  8. A magical place...conducive to creativity and growth. Lots of funny and professional comics from different ages and backgrounds with a wide variety of comedy styles. Well run, organized by two talented producers, Scott Shimamoto and Paula Johnson,. I've been to many open-mics ... this one i come back to over and over because it's so good..Not clicky at all.(no clicks)newcomers feel welcomed.
