  1. I have never done the open mic. I went in and walked right back out. They charge five bucks and the place creeped me out for some reason.

  2. They tend to put up the regulars first and the non-regulars have to wait a while to go up. Also, its not the friendliest atmosphere for women, but neither is the stand up world as a whole. But if you want to develop a tough skin, go right ahead!

  3. Heres to the host with the most!! What a great open mic. Lots of comics. Lots of variety. Not impressed with the "regulars/staff" with their, "what am I going to talk about tonight" bit! Try and talk about something funny next time!! Just sayin. Nice room though for sure. Would hate to be near last or last due to all the "super stars" who went early and leave or head to the bar in the lobby! Oh well. Great time. Thanks HaHa Cafè. And thanks to the host Jason (I think that's him, bearded hobbit?). Your very sharp and funny. Great Job.

  4. Comics should NEVER have to pay to perform. This place should be run out of business.

  5. This room could be great but due to Jack Sr's mistreatment of comics and people who've run rooms here over the years the place is turning into a half bringer club so enjoy it! No good promoter in their right mind will do shows here so your left with a bunch of ham and eggers here who think their shit don't stink and they book their buddies and people who are as green as a leprechaun but they can bring people. The way this place is run makes Lovitz seem like Google or Microsoft!

  6. Good god I had not been back here in a while and now I remember. Either do a lottery or let everyone know that the first hour will be all the friends of the host! ! Go to martys!! You are far better off.

  7. This club is so awful! $20 for them to record you set or $10 to record yourself PLUS $5??? THEN you have to sit through the "regulars" for over an hour. EVERY night is a bringer show, so theirs no point trying to get "in" with this club. I feel very sorry for the delusions of the so called regulars here. This club is a WASTE OF TIME for comics of all levels.

  10. The rumors around town are true! Agostino the manager steals jokes from the open mic.

  13. The shittiest "comedy club" I've ever been to. I've never been treated so poorly nor have I ever seen worse "comedy" from the "comics" that work there. Someone needs to light a match to this place.

  14. The owner is fucking douche bag with his queer 80's ponytail. Someone should tell him Miami Vice was cancelled 30 years ago - oh and that he's a douche.

  16. Why do people hate the ha ha. Paying 5 bucks to perform on a profesional stage is not a bad trade off. . .

  17. This was a cool room for working stuff out- it was very fair and the audience responded appropriately. The host kept things moving, no one ran over... I don't understand the drama posted above. Some people are crazy.

  18. It does not matter when you sign up the regulars go first, so if you are new you have to wait over two hours to perform. Some people are not timed and that gets annoying (one guy did a 12 minute set... if he was funny it would not have felt like 40 minutes). Atmosphere is OK, but the wait was too long... I wont go back

  21. I performed here a few times, and although the waiting process can be a frustration that defies performance description, the room aura and comedic contrast is quite an intriguing phenomenon. Aesthetically incongruent and filled with observational potentiality.

The stage ambience is filled with miscellaneous paraphernalia's, an abstract inventory for the cerebral observer, also the neon-ish colors and semi circle room is quite an encapsulating theme.

Multiple peripheral TV screens to pacify your narcissistic notions, a rarity in most open mics, and the furniture incongruity caters to a potential audience preferential taste. The room is astronomically spacious and comically inviting, and you can taste humor in the air.

My only pet peeve is the inability to perform in successions based on an assumed chronological system, I'm assuming it's a lottery, although it appears organizationally ambiguous in nature.

"Nevertheless" I've developed an overnight infatuation for this place and will continuing exploring its multifaceted polarity and overall unorthodox settings.

  22. The Ha Ha is like a sandwich at Arby's, you'll try it once and then realize how shitty it is. Suck it Jack as well as your henchmen you have working there trying to intimidate comics into your scheming ways.
